Many companies offering IVA's do not employ an IP. They will simply take your details, maybe carry out a little work and then refer you to an IP or firm of Insolvency Practitioners who will then handle your case.

Prior to being referred you may pay monthly contributions, which will not be included in your Arrangement or set off against your debt. It is in fact wasted money that you can ill afford when in this situation.

UK IVA take no payment from you. Any payments you make are paid directly to the IP and are included in your Arrangement. It is entirely up to you whether or not you wish to use the services of the IP we refer you to but, if you do choose to do so, you can be confident in the knowledge all payments are a part of your IVA.

If you do not wish to use one of our experts and prefer to source an IP yourself, please ensure you check the details of the company you approach and that they actually employ the IP who will supervise your case. This way you will be confident that you can speak to the IP if any problems arise and that all fees paid will be included in the IVA.
